Privacy
This policy covers personal data collected when you book and stay with us. In this policy, “we” means Luzia Travel LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, and the team who operate Luzia on its behalf.
What we collect
- Reservation: name, email address, phone number, dates, room, and anything you tell us about the stay.
- Payment: card details are entered directly into our payment provider’s secure fields. We receive confirmation that a card is valid and a token we can charge. Full card numbers are never visible to us.
- Registration: for each adult, full name, nationality, date of birth, a passport or identity document number with its issuing country, and a signature. Children are recorded by name and date of birth only.
Why we hold it
To take and honour your reservation, to charge the amount agreed, to answer you when you write, and to meet the record-keeping obligations that apply to hotels in Costa Rica.
Who else sees it
- Our property management system, where reservations and guest profiles are held.
- Our payment provider, which processes the card.
- Booking channels, if you booked through one. They hold their own copy under their own policy.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies
This website does not track you. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking cookies of ours.
The booking engine is different. It is operated by a third-party provider, runs inside our site, and sets its own cookies and analytics to keep the booking secure and working. It asks your consent when it opens. If you would rather not use it, write to us and we will take the booking directly.
We send the emails a booking requires: confirmation, arrival details, cancellation, and anything to do with payment.
We may also write to past guests occasionally about Luzia itself. Those emails carry a one-click unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by writing to us. We do not pass your address to anyone else for their own marketing.
Security and where it is held
Access to guest records is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and the systems holding them apply their own security controls. Some of those systems are operated outside Costa Rica, so your data may be held and processed abroad.
How long we keep it
Reservation and billing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Stored card details are deleted 90 days after your most recent stay ends, provided there is no upcoming reservation and no outstanding bill.
Access and deletion
You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to bookings@luzianosara.com.
